Review translation

International reviews are only useful if you can read them. Any review in the inbox can be translated in place, without leaving the drawer.

Translate a review

1. 01Open the review.
2. 02Choose Show translation. The review body is translated into English by default.
3. 03Pick a different target language if you want one — the translation regenerates.
4. 04Toggle back to Show original at any time; the original text is never replaced.

How the source language is determined

When the store reports a language for the review, ReviewDesk uses it. Google Play usually does; the App Store often does not. Where it is missing, the language is detected from the review text.

A typical workflow

1. 01Filter the inbox to unanswered reviews for the market you are working through.
2. 02Translate the review to read what it actually says.
3. 03Generate a draft with the language set to Auto, so the reply comes back in the reviewer’s language.
4. 04Read the draft — or have a native speaker check it — and send.
