The terms used throughout ReviewDesk and this documentation, in plain language
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Account | Your label for one App Store Connect team or Play Console organization. Apps are grouped under it and share its credentials. |
| Assignment | A grant giving a team member access to one account or one app. A member can hold many. |
| Automation level | How much a ruleset is trusted: draft only, auto-send some, or auto-send all. |
| Cool-off | A safety rail that stops auto-sending for an app for a set number of hours after a 1★ review. |
| Credential | The App Store Connect API key or Google Play service account JSON that lets ReviewDesk read and reply to an account’s reviews. |
| Helpfulness score | ReviewDesk’s own ranking, blending rating extremity, content depth, and recency. Not store helpfulness data. |
| MCP | The remote connector that lets an AI assistant such as Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT work with your ReviewDesk data over OAuth. |
| Organization | Your workspace. It owns the apps, rules, and members. Each user belongs to exactly one. |
| Pending Apple | A reply accepted by Apple and awaiting moderation. Not yet visible on the App Store. |
| Reply footer | The support email line and signature appended to replies, with the space reserved before generation. |
| Ruleset | An auto-reply rule scoped to an organization, account, or app, with its own automation level, filter, tone, and safety rails. |
| Safety rail | A check that turns an automatic send into a draft — negative sentiment, short reviews, cool-off, or a daily cap. |
| Scope | Which apps a rule covers: organization, account, or app. The most specific matching rule wins outright. |
| Sentiment | The Positive, Neutral, or Negative classification assigned from a review’s text, independent of its star rating. |
| Stage and confirm | The two-step pattern every mutating MCP tool follows — describe the change, then apply it only on explicit confirmation. |
| Theme | An automatically extracted recurring topic in review text, with similar wordings merged, tracked for change over time. |
