Setting up the MCP connector
Connect Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT to ReviewDesk over OAuth and work from your assistant
ReviewDesk publishes a remote MCP server, so an AI assistant can read your reviews and draft replies without you opening the dashboard. There is nothing to install — you paste a URL and authorize in the browser.
Supported hosts
- Claude
- Claude Code
- Cursor
- ChatGPT
Connect
- 01Go to MCP & CLI in the sidebar.
- 02Pick your host. The page shows the exact steps and the connector URL for it.
- 03Copy the connector URL into your host’s custom-connector or MCP settings.
- 04Your browser opens a ReviewDesk consent screen showing what the connection will be able to do.
- 05Approve it. The host stores the token and the tools become available in your assistant.
Managing connections
The same screen lists every host you have authorized. Revoking a connection takes effect immediately: that host’s token stops working and it loses access until you authorize it again.
Revoke a connection when you stop using a host, when a device is lost, or whenever you are unsure what still has access.
What connected assistants can do
Reading is direct: an assistant can list apps, search reviews, pull analytics, and check alerts. Anything that changes something goes through a two-step confirmation — see MCP tools.
Troubleshooting
The host says it cannot reach the server
Check the connector URL was copied in full, with no trailing whitespace, and that you used the URL shown on your own MCP & CLI screen rather than one from another environment.
Authorization completes but no tools appear
Most hosts only refresh their tool list on restart. Restart the assistant, and confirm the connection is listed as active on the MCP & CLI screen.
The assistant says it is not authorized
The grant was revoked — either by you, or because the organization was deactivated. Re-authorize from the host. If the organization was deactivated, that must be reversed first; see Security.
