How can we help?
44 answers for the ReviewDesk iOS app, the Android app, and your account.
ReviewDesk iOS
What does the ReviewDesk iOS app do?
It's a mobile view of your ReviewDesk inbox: read new App Store and Google Play reviews, see sentiment and rating trends, and send AI-drafted replies from your phone. Connecting an app to ReviewDesk itself is done from the web dashboard, not the mobile app.
What iOS version do I need?
The app supports iOS 16 and later, on iPhone and iPad. If you're on an older version, use the web dashboard — it works in any modern mobile browser.
Do I need a separate account to use the iOS app?
No. Sign in with the same email and password (or SSO on Business) you use on the web. Your apps, inbox, and team stay in sync automatically.
Can I use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock the app?
Yes — turn it on under Settings → Security → App Lock. This adds a biometric check on top of your regular login.
How do I reply to a review from the iOS app?
Open the review, tap Draft reply to generate an AI-suggested response, edit it, then tap Send. It posts directly to the App Store or Google Play — nothing posts without you tapping Send, unless you've turned on auto-reply rules.
Can I see reviews from both iOS and Android on the mobile app?
Yes. The inbox is unified across every connected app and store, regardless of which mobile app you're viewing it from.
Why does a review show as "Pending" instead of "Live" after I reply?
Apple moderates App Store replies before they go live, which can take up to 24 hours — ReviewDesk shows this as Pending so you know it's in review rather than stuck. Google Play replies post immediately as Live.
Can I edit or delete a reply after it's sent?
You can edit a sent reply — the update posts back to the store through the official API, and ReviewDesk keeps a local edit history. Deleting a reply has to be done directly in App Store Connect or the Google Play Console.
How do I turn on push notifications for new reviews?
Settings → Notifications, then enable New reviews. Scope it further — e.g. only 1–2 star reviews, or only specific apps.
I'm not receiving push notifications. What should I check?
Confirm notifications are allowed for ReviewDesk under iOS Settings → Notifications → ReviewDesk. If enabled there but still not arriving, check the specific alert type inside the app's own Notification settings.
New reviews aren't showing up on my phone
Pull down on the inbox to force a refresh. If reviews are also missing on web, the store connection needs attention — check Connected Apps for a "needs attention" status.
The app crashes or freezes when I open a review
Force-close and reopen, and confirm you're on the latest App Store version. Report persistent issues via Settings → Help → Report a Problem.
ReviewDesk Android
What Android version do I need?
Android 9 (Pie) or later, available on the Google Play Store — search "ReviewDesk."
Is the Android app missing any features compared to iOS or web?
No — both mobile apps cover the same core workflow. Admin-only functions stay web-dashboard-only on both platforms.
Can I install ReviewDesk on a shared team tablet?
Yes — sign in with an individual teammate's login rather than sharing one account, so replies are attributed correctly per person.
How do I reply to a Google Play review from the Android app?
Tap the review, then Draft reply for an AI-suggested response, edit if needed, then Send — it posts straight to the Google Play Console.
Can I filter reviews by rating or app on the Android app?
Yes — tap the filter icon to filter by star rating, app, date range, or reply status.
Does auto-translate work on the Android app?
Yes — reviews in another language show a Translate toggle inline, on both Android and iOS.
How do I control which reviews trigger a notification?
Settings → Notifications, then set thresholds — e.g. only 1–2 star reviews, or only apps you're assigned to.
Notifications work, but they're delayed by a few hours
Some Android manufacturers restrict background activity. Exclude ReviewDesk from battery optimization under Settings → Apps → ReviewDesk → Battery.
The app won't sync new reviews
Pull to refresh first. If that doesn't help, confirm your internet connection and that the app is updated to the latest Play Store version.
I'm logged out unexpectedly
Usually after a password change or a revoked session from Settings → Team on the web. Sign back in — drafts in progress are preserved.

What is ReviewDesk?
ReviewDesk pulls every App Store and Google Play review into one inbox, tracks rating and sentiment trends, and helps your team reply faster with AI-drafted responses. Built for teams managing reviews across multiple apps who don't want to check two separate store consoles.
Which app stores does ReviewDesk support?
Apple App Store and Google Play today. Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei AppGallery, and RuStore can be added on request — contact support for a walkthrough.
How does the AI decide what to write in a reply?
It reads the review's content and rating, then drafts a reply in the tone you've set under Settings → AI → Default Tone. Every AI draft is editable before sending, and nothing sends automatically unless you've explicitly turned on auto-reply rules.
Does ReviewDesk ever post or edit anything in my store accounts without me asking?
No — credentials are used only to pull reviews and post replies you've approved, or that match a rule you've explicitly configured. ReviewDesk never edits your app listing, pricing, or any other store-side setting.
How does auto-reply automation actually work?
Rulesets scope to your org, an account, or a single app, with graduated automation levels — draft_only, auto_send_some, or auto_send_all. You can set a per-rating tone and send/skip decision, plus daily send caps and cool-offs, so you're never betting the whole inbox on day one.
What is the screenshot-to-reply feature?
Paste a screenshot of a review and ReviewDesk's OCR agent matches it to the real review in your database and drafts a reply. It's confidence-scored, and nothing posts until you explicitly send, edit, or cancel it.
Can I use ReviewDesk from Claude Desktop or Cursor?
Yes — the reviewdesk-mcp server exposes tools for listing apps and reviews, drafting replies from a screenshot or review ID, confirming a post, and pulling metrics, so you can triage and reply without leaving your editor.
Can I edit a reply after it's already posted?
Yes — editing a sent reply pushes the update back to the store through the official API, and ReviewDesk keeps a local edit history.
How do I connect an iOS app?
Connected Apps → Add App → iOS, using an App Store Connect API key with Customer Support access — see the Docs page for the full walkthrough.
How do I connect an Android app?
Connected Apps → Add App → Android, using a Google Play service account JSON key with read-only "view app info" permission.
How many apps can I connect?
Free covers 2, Starter 5, Growth 20, Business unlimited. An iOS build and Android build of the same product count as two.
A connected app shows "needs attention" — what does that mean?
Usually an expired or revoked credential on the store side. Go to Connected Apps, open the affected app, and follow the prompt to reconnect — history isn't affected while disconnected.
What plans does ReviewDesk offer?
Free ($0), Starter ($59/mo), Growth ($199/mo), Business ($549/mo) — all paid plans include unlimited AI-drafted replies.
How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan?
Settings → Billing → Change Plan. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes — toggle Annual on the Pricing page for 20% off vs. paying monthly.
Where do I find my invoices?
Settings → Billing → Invoice History — downloadable as a PDF, and emailed automatically at each charge.
How do I invite teammates?
Settings → Team → Invite, then enter their email and choose a role. Starter includes 3 seats; Growth and Business include unlimited seats.
What can each team role do?
org_owners get full access — billing, integrations, team, settings. team_members can be scoped org-wide or to specific apps, with a canReply permission flag set independently of role — handy for a client-specific contractor who should only touch that client's apps. A separate super_admin role manages the platform console across organizations.
Does ReviewDesk support SSO?
Yes, on the Business plan — set it up under Settings → Security → Single Sign-On.
Are my store credentials stored securely?
Yes — per-app credentials (Play service-account JSON, App Store .p8 keys) are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and used only server-side to fetch reviews and post approved replies. No one on the ReviewDesk team can view your raw credentials.
How do I revoke ReviewDesk's access to an app?
Disconnect it from Connected Apps in ReviewDesk, and separately revoke the credential from App Store Connect or the Google Play Console.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Retained for 30 days in case you resubscribe, then permanently deleted. Contact support for earlier deletion.
