Getting Started

Creating your account

Signup, email verification, setting a password, and the four-step onboarding wizard

ReviewDesk accounts are created for an organization, not an individual. The person who signs up becomes the organization owner and everything else — apps, rules, teammates — belongs to that organization.

Registration asks for three things: your organization name, your full name, and your email address. You do not choose a password at this stage — the address is verified first, so an account cannot be created against an inbox you do not control.

Verify your email

  1. 01Check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code.
  2. 02Enter it on the verification screen. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
  3. 03If it expires, click Resend code. There is a short cooldown between resends.

Set your password

Once the code is accepted you choose a password and are signed in straight away. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never recoverable in plain text — a reset always issues a new one.

The onboarding wizard

New owners are taken to a four-step wizard. Your position is saved server-side, so closing the tab does not lose progress. Each step has a Skip step control, and there is a Skip all that jumps straight to the end.

Step 1 — Tell us about your organization

Organization name, website, contact number, and address. Every field is optional and all of them can be changed later in Settings.

Step 2 — Connect your apps

The full Apps screen, embedded in the wizard. Next stays disabled until at least one app is connected, but Skip step bypasses that if you do not have credentials yet. See Connecting your apps.

Step 3 — Invite your team

Up to three invitations during onboarding, each with a name, email, reply permission, and app access. Invited teammates receive a generated temporary password by email. There is no limit outside the wizard — invite the rest from Team management.

Invitations are sent as a batch: if one address is invalid the whole batch is rejected, so nobody is half-invited.

Step 4 — Review and confirm

A summary of what you configured. Confirming marks onboarding complete and drops you into the Reviews inbox.

What teammates see

Only the organization owner goes through the wizard. Invited team members sign in with their temporary password and land directly in the Reviews inbox, scoped to whichever apps they were assigned.
